The Jr. NBA program is a 8 week program that runs once a week for 60 minutes. The Jr. NBA program includes age-appropriate equipment (smaller basketball and lowered adjustable hoops) and modified games for children of this age-range. Participants will receive a size-appropriate Spalding® Rookie Gear Basketball and NBA team branded t-shirt
At this age we are encouraging basic movements through running, dribbling, passing and shooting activities, while underlining the importance of social development. We offer a holistic culture, led by professional coaching staffs, who truly understand the long term development process in youth sport.
The best way to produce development time through play, is to offer 3on3 and 4on4 competitive platforms for younger ages that can act as a transition from recreational to competitive 5on5 basketball. For our earlier age groups, we are applying the philosophies of Mini-Basket in conjunction with Basketball Canada and the Ontario Basketball Association.
NO PLAYERS LEFT BEHIND… Tryouts are always open and free of charge. Our club has a no cut policy, so anyone that wants to play basketball and be on a team, we will do our best to make that happen. We believe a player not making a team will most likely not improve at a rate to make that same team (or perhaps any team) the following year.
